Steve Keep replied to Pmarche's discussion Pixhawk and some ESCs with Low KV motors. Pixhawk is not the problem. Problem is related to ESCs, Firmware and fine tuning. in PIXHAWK
"Firstly these comments are not aimed at anyone in particular, but if the cap fits then feel free to put the hat on....! I think a lot of you guys are missing an important point. It is NOT the PIXHAWK that has the issue, it is the speedies and Simon…"

Steve Keep replied to Virgil's discussion PIWHAWK and AERO SKY QUADCOPTER in PIXHAWK
"To start auto tune it at least needs to be able to get in the air safely. It looks like the Rate P terms could be a bit higher. Can you connect to mission planner and get the log file for your last flight? if the rate I term is not the same as the P…"

Steve Keep replied to Dave King's discussion Pixhawk and Graupner MZ 24 Config Question
"Hi Dave, You need to set the radio to airplane mode, no mixing and then read through the wiki and take it one step at a time. It is pretty full on but you will be rewarded with success if you follow all the steps....!
The more you do the easier it…"

Steve Keep commented on Quadrocopter's blog post Hobby King does it again!!
"Oliver, sorry i just reread my post and maybe i was a little harsh, i was trying to tag all in one category. I know some world class 3d pilots (giant scale) that have only been flying for 3~5 years And would have a hard time explaining ANY…"

Steve Keep commented on Quadrocopter's blog post Hobby King does it again!!
"Oh, one more thing,... For X8 owners,. if you want to use less reflex and improve performance and handeling try cutting off the "Camera Bump" on the bottom of the main body,... you will NEED to move your cg over 25mm forward AND tape the wing so the…"

Steve Keep commented on Quadrocopter's blog post Hobby King does it again!!
"Seriously guys , those of you that think this is a knock off would say that a mini (car) is a knock-off of a Volvo,... cause it has wheels....
For those of you that think this is a knockoff it just shows how little aerodynamic knowledge you have.
I…"

Steve Keep replied to Onepiece's discussion PX4 / PIXHAWK and "multiple" SpeKtrum Receivers
"The cable for the satellite reciever does plug staright in. If you don't see servos moving on the calibration screen it means no firmware loaded on IO board. If you are using 4cells or less you can get the voltage direct from the flight pack,...…"

Steve Keep replied to Antonio Alfaro's discussion X8 take-off using catapult in X8
"Yep, haven't hand launched it now for some time... rail on catapult is 3 meters. acceleration trigger for auto start is 5ms and 0.5 sec delay which means I am getting full throttle just as it comes of the launcher. Catapult rail is inclined up at…"

Steve Keep replied to Michael Levesque's discussion Possible Composite X8 in X8
"I strongly disagree with the issues you guys are raising about weight. If you build it right it can be very strong and still quite light. I fly fully moulded gliders and they are bullet proof compared to what is required for a X8
I Like the idea…"

Steve Keep replied to Matthew's discussion How do I slow everything down on Arducopter to make it fly more Like a DJI Phantom
"Hi Mathew, there is a angle limit that you can reduce that seems to soften it once you have it tuned. I was playing with it the other day.
having said that it sounds to me like it is not tuned yet. can you post a log?
Learning to tune the APM…"
